Project Overview:

The Arizona Department of Transportation has designed roadway improvements to Interstate 10, between Interstate 8 and State Route 87. This portion of I-10 will be widened from two lanes to three lanes in each direction to reduce traffic congestion and improve safety.

Project Schedule:

Construction began in September 2010.

What to expect during construction:

• Crews will work from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday night through Friday morning each week.
• Two lanes of traffic will remain open during daytime hours and on weekends.
• This $31.3 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act project is anticipated to be complete in early 2011.
